Girl group Black Pink was selected as the world's most influential pop star by Bloomberg, and this is the first accomplishment as Asian artist(s).

Bloomberg released 'Pop Star Power Ranking' on the official website on the 10th (local time). According to this, Black Pink ranked first, overtaking global pop stars such as Pop Smoke, Cardibi, and Justin Bieber. In particular, Black Pink was the first Asian singer to take the first place in the ranking, adding its meaning.

Every month, Bloomberg promotes fairness by unveiling six criteria for selecting the 25 most influential pop stars in the world. 'Live Show's Three Month Total Return','Live Show's 30-Day Ticket Sales', '4 Week Album Sales', '4 Weeks of Digital Song Stream Views', '30 Days of Activity on Instagram', and '4 weeks Youtube Views', referring to data such as Polestar, Spotify, Nielsen Music/MRC, CrowdTangle and YouTube.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK's first regular album'THE ALBUM' rose to No. 2 in both the first week of release on the Billboard 200 and the UK official album chart, creating a new history of K-pop girl groups. In particular,'THE ALBUM' maintains the top chart in the US Billboard 200 for 5 consecutive weeks, and is continuing a new record for a K-pop girl group.
